Client: Hygiene Audits for a small chain of Chinese Restaurants
We were asked to set up a programme of inspections to incorporate 4 sites in a small but rapidly growing chain of restaurants. They had previously managed this internally, but had taken the decision to move to external food consultants in order to get some third party input into food hygiene and to save time for their team. The audits were carried out twice per year against an operating standard already implemented by the group. Data from the inspection was prepared and printed before the inspector left the site, with any major non-conformance in theory being reported immediately. In practice, the operations were conforming with the standard, and only minor non-conformances were identified. This data allowed the company management to be confident that each individual operation was meeting requirements.
