Assessment of product quality is an integral part of food business. This can be an assessment that first production runs are carried out to the agreed specification and using specified procedures, and inspection of consignment quality either prior to shipment or on arrival at it's destination market, or an evaluation of damages in a "worst case" scenario to provide support for insurance purposes.
However, it is more often a simple visual check of delivery quality and quantity to provide both supplier and buyer with an independent and impartial confirmation that the consignment arrived in the condition intended.
Product inspections are conducted to an agreed specification or purchase document, and where there are no agreed standards in place FSL can help to design the appropriate technical documentation. Where appropriate inspections are conducted in accordance with ISO 974.

In cases where damages are found on arrival at the destination market, FSL will verify and assess the levels of damage, any potential loss in value of the shipment or shelf life of the product, and overall suitability for the intended market. All data is supported by photographic evidence, and inspections are conducted in accordance with International Standard ISO 874. The information provided will assist with any claim that results from the damages.
Initial findings provided within 24 hours of the inspection, full photographic report within 2 days by post, email or online.
